Prayers are what we all need now,let’s pass them on to each other often. My families happy for the prayers sent during  bad times, for God does hear them from the sincere heart,and I thank Him for listening and for those close to me that gave them.

The meaning of “The Lord Is My Shepherd”

“The Lord Is My Shepherd” is the 23rd psalm from the book of psalms in the Old Testament. It is a prayer commonly attributed to King David. Here, David draws on his experiences of youth as a shepherd boy (1 Samuel 17) to liken the care of an eternal God with that of a shepherd that tends to his sheep.

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’ sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
